L.A. RAMS’ TROY HILL BUSTED FOR DUI … ALLEGEDLY REAR ENDS SEMI

Cornerback Troy Hill was busted for DUI after cops say he hit a semi truck on the freeway.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports Hill was driving in a Mercedes on an L.A. freeway around 8 AM Saturday morning. Hill allegedly swerved over multiple lanes and crashed into the back of a semi truck. We’re told Hill showed signs of intoxication, was given a field sobriety test and was arrested on the spot.

Our sources say Hill suffered a busted lip during the crash — but did not need medical attention — he was released from custody shortly after 1 PM.

  1. Barf3I think someone is going to pick up a young CB with a lot of potential………….

DUI needed to be addressed harshly don't get me wrong though.

Lets remove the fact he almost killed himself and someone else from the equation. How many jobs do you know of that allow you to show up on the job above the legal limit of intoxication?

Fisher had to make the move regardless. What is he telling his team if he kept Hill on the roster and cut another guy (I know he wasnt making the team anyways) for having a girl in his room.

According to USA Today's Rams Wire, the Rams have waived Troy Hill, and filled his and apparently another available roster spot by promoting CB Mike Jordan and LB Nic Grigsby from their Practice Squad.

    good.

I am not trying to condone Hills behavior, but what I am guessing is that he was coming off a all night bender and was still drunk in the AM. He probably got a few hours sleep and figured he was good to go.

Most likely I agree. Still not the best decision when you are a fringe player on an NFL team. Raises the question of how often he does this. I go to work hungover all the time but I don't have a job i've been living for for most of my life and making a shit ton of money doing it.

lol Well I am no Fisher fan that is for sure. but dont think he is to blame for Hill being drunk at 9am. Hill is a dumbass.

CB depth is definitely going to have be addressed in free agency next year because I honestly wonder what we've got behind TruJo, Gaines and Joyner.

And when I say addressed, I mean better than Sensabaugh.

How many years ago was it everyone was praising our abundance of CBs?

  11. Los Angeles Rams cornerback Troy Hill was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of DUI, authorities said.

Hill, 25, was arrested after a collision on the WB 101 Freeway near the Haskell Ave. exit, just west of the 405 Freeway interchange.

Hill’s Mercedes rear-ended a big rig, police said.

A California Highway Patrol officer arrived shortly before 8 a.m. He observed that Hill was possibly intoxicated and conducted a field sobriety test.

The officer determined Hill was under the influence, the CHP said.

Hill told officers he was on his way to practice.

He was arrested and booked at the LAPD’s Van Nuys station.

Hill was released at 1:35 p.m. on $15,000 bail and ordered to appear in a Van Nuys courtroom on Dec. 14, according to inmate records.

The Rams could not immediately be reached for comment.

The team hosts the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The truck driver was not injured.
