Dodgers offseason roster moves: who’s new and who’s gone?

As the Dodgers arrive for spring training, here’s a reminder of what roster changes have taken place …

WHO’S BACK?

Almost everybody including last year’s NL Rookie of the Year (1B Cody Bellinger) and the rest of the Dodgers’ six All-Stars from last year’s game (3B Justin Turner, LHP Alex Wood, LHP Clayton Kershaw, RHP Kenley Jansen and SS Corey Seager).

WHO’S GONE?

RHPs Yu Darvish and Brandon Morrow both signed as free agents with the Chicago Cubs.

LHP Tony Watson, OF Andre Ethier and 2B Chase Utley are unsigned free agents.

1B Adrian Gonzalez (Mets), RHP Brandon McCarthy (Braves), LHPs Scott Kazmir (Braves) and Luis Avilan (White Sox) and IF Charlie Culberson (Braves) were traded.

WHO’S NEW?

RHP Tom Koehler (free agent), LHP Scott Alexander (trade from Royals), OF Matt Kemp (trade from Braves).

OTHERS TO WATCH

Top prospects RHP Walker Buehler and OF Alex Verdugo will be in camp this spring looking to earn roles on the 2018 roster. OF Andrew Toles is returning from a torn ACL that ended his 2017 season in early May.
