Jared Goff wants Cooper Kupp to name his son Dixie, others suggest Stanley

Cooper Kupp entered the NFL older than most rookies do, getting drafted at the age of 23. For comparison’s sake, Brandin Cooks is just three months younger than Kupp and he has four years of experience already under his belt.

As a result, Kupp doesn’t lack maturity and is already experiencing what comes with adulthood. He announced in February that he and his wife are expecting a baby boy and the naming opportunities are endless.

Red Solo. World. Stanley. Reese’s Peanut Butter.

Unfortunately, Kupp won’t be going with any of those names, likely opting for something slightly more … traditional.

“There were a lot of great nicknames thrown out,” Kupp said. “Jared [Goff] really was pushing for Dixie. He wanted a little Dixie Kupp. We had some Stanleys – want some Stanley Kupps. There’s so many of them. We’re not gonna go with any of those.”

Kupp opted not to reveal the baby’s name – it’s unclear if they’ve picked out a name yet – keeping that secret to himself for now. The possibilities are endless, but it’s hard to blame Kupp for wanting his son to grow up without being called Dixie Kupp.
