It’s been several days since Ndamukong Suh visited the Los Angeles Rams as everyone and their mothers await his free agency decision. His choices are down to the Rams, Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints with all three offering great opportunities.
Some believe the Rams are the frontrunners to land the biggest fish in the free agency pond, potentially pairing him with Defensive Player of the Year, Aaron Donald. Wade Phillips would certainly love that, as would Sean McVay.
TMZ caught up with McVay at the airport on Friday, hoping to get something out of the young head coach with regards to Suh’s situation. McVay didn’t reveal much, but did call Suh “a good player.”
“We’ll see. You know, excited about Marcus (Peters) and Aqib (Talib), and if we’re able to make that other move, that’d be good for us. But we’ll see. You know, he’s got a lot of teams that want him, so. He’s a good player.”
It’s very possible that McVay truly doesn’t know what Suh is going to do. There’s also a chance that he knows Suh views the Rams as the lead dogs, but won’t reveal that to the public for obvious reasons.
Regardless of where the situation stands, Los Angeles has a great chance to bring aboard a three-time All-Pro. The combination of him and Donald would undoubtedly give opposing quarterbacks and coaches nightmares.
“We know what a great player Aaron is. Ndamukong’s had a great career. So, we’ll see how everything sorts itself out.”
