Rams are re-signing WR JoJo Natson to replace Pharoh Cooper

Sean McVay announced on Tuesday that Pharoh Cooper will be out at least a few weeks due to an ankle injury suffered in Week 1. Mike Thomas, Cooper’s backup on kick returns, also suffered a groin injury and will too be out for some time.

It didn’t take the Rams long to replace both players in the return game, reportedly signing JoJo Natson.

Natson was with the Rams this summer and was waived in the final round of cuts. He performed well in the preseason on kick and punt returns while backing up Cooper. He returned nine punts for 100 yards, as well as 14 kicks for 342 yards with a long of 31.

The second-year pro went undrafted out of Akron in 2017 but was signed by the Jets. The Rams originally signed him on July 24 but waived him just a month later.
